SCANIA


Scania AB, formerly AB Scania-Vabis, is a major Swedish manufacturer of commercial vehicles – specifically heavy trucks and buses. It also manufactures diesel engines for heavy vehicles as well as marine and general industrial applications.
Scania AB was formed in 1911 through the merger of Södertälje-based Vabis and Malmö-based Maskinfabriks-aktiebolaget Scania. The company's head office has been in Södertälje since 1912. Today, Scania has production facilities in Sweden, France, Netherlands, India, Argentina, Brazil, Poland, and Russia. In addition, there are assembly plants in ten countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Scania's sales and service organisation and finance companies are worldwide. In 2012, the company employed approximately 42,100 people around the world. Scania was listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm stock exchange from 1996 to 2014.
Scania's logo shows a griffin, from the coat of arms of the province of Scania (SwedishSkåne).

MAN

MAN Truck & Bus AG (formerly MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AGpronounced [ˈman ˈnʊt͡sˌfaːɐ̯t͡sɔʏ̯gə ʔaːˈgeː]) is the largest subsidiary of the MAN SE corporation, and one of the leading international providers of commercial vehicles. Headquartered in MunichGermany, MAN Truck & Bus produces vans in the range from 3.0 to 5.5 t gvw, trucks in the range from 7.49 to 44 t gvw, heavy goods vehicles up to 250 t road train gvw, bus-chassis, coaches, interurban coaches, and city buses. MAN Truck & Bus also produces diesel and natural-gas engines. The MAN acronym originally stood for Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg AG pronounced [maˈʃiːnənfaˈbʁiːk ˈʔaʊ̯ksbʊʁk ˈnʏʁnbɛʁk] or [-faˈbʁɪk-]), formerly MAN AG.
Trucks and buses of the product brand MAN and buses of the product brand Neoplan (premium coaches) belong to the MAN Truck & Bus Group.
On 1 January 2011, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge (literally: commercial vehicles) was renamed as MAN Truck & Bus to better reflect the company's products on the international market.

VOLVO


Volvo Trucks (SwedishVolvo Lastvagnar) (stylized as VOLVO) is a global truck manufacturer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, owned by AB Volvo. In 2016, it was the world’s second largest manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks.
Volvo Group was reorganised on 1 January 2012 and as a part of the process, Volvo Trucks ceased to be a separate company and was instead incorporated into Volvo Group Trucks, with Volvo’s other truck brands, Renault TrucksMack Trucks and UD Trucks.
The first Volvo truck rolled off the production lines in 1928, and in 2016 Volvo Trucks employed more than 52,000 people around the world. With global headquarters in GothenburgSweden, Volvo manufactures and assembles its trucks in eight wholly owned assembly plants and nine factories owned by local interests. Volvo Trucks produces and sells over 190,000 units annually.
In 2017 Chinese group Geely become first shareholder of Volvo Trucks.
